Many Duke students continue their studies after graduation by pursuing advanced degrees in the arts and sciences. Through independent scholarship, original writing and research, graduate students develop expertise in their disciplines under the mentorship of and in collaboration with senior faculty. They also serve as mentors to future undergraduates, sharing with them their experiences learned on the frontiers of discovery.
